By bringing to the readers’ attention an unpublished Ottoman era document in Romanian, issued 1861 Rabrovo, a village Vidin region, back then under rule, article tries shed light on wider historical and sociolinguistic context of Romanian-speaking population south Danube 19th century. The is donation-adoption act by which Romanian man gives one his sons for adoption brother, who does not have heirs. handwritten using Cyrillic script, signed chorbaji, mayor eight witnesses, stamped Turkish administrator. Though very short, it reveals several important facts about Bulgaria its origin, language used communication writing, family relations, etc. Coming from archive, this great emotional value owner, has also undisputable linguistic significance.
